The long Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend is the ideal time to gather friends and family and organize a Wintertime weekend at The Greenbrier.

Hot Totties, Hot Buttered Rum and Irish Coffee are a few of the beverages you will enjoy at the Cocktail Tasting on Friday. The Wine Dinner and Reception on Saturday will pair exceptional wines with a six-course dinner, featuring seasonal French-inspired cuisine.

Step 1: Book the $999 Wintertime weekend Package, which will include 3-night accommodations and the following:


  • Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights based on double-occupancy (does not include daily resort fee, taxes and historic preservation fund)
  • Early check-in at 12:00pm on Friday and late 3:00pm check-out on Monday
  • $300 resort spending credit
  • Breakfast in Main Dining Room

The Greenbrier culinary team will be hosting a seasonal Cocktail Tasting, as well as a Wine Dinner and Reception.

Step 3: Make your travel arrangements

The resort is located just 1.5 minutes off of I-64 West at Exit #181 and Exit #175 off of I-64 East. Address is 101 Main Street, West, White Sulphur Springs, WV 24986.

Amtrak-Business-Class.jpgBy Train — Daily train service is available via Amtrak's Cardinal Route from New York's Penn Station to Chicago's Union Station, with business class service from Washington, D.C. Traveling by train offers the most scenic mountain and countryside views and delivers you directly to The Greenbrier.

Other airports convenient to The Greenbrier include Roanoke, VA (ROA), Charleston, WV (CRW) and Beckley, WV (BKW) with services provided by major carriers. Transportation from these airports is available through the resort.

  • Historic Preservation Fund, $39 Daily Resort Fee and taxes apply to all nights of stay
  • Wintertime Package is sold out for the nights of January 25-26, 2019
  • Wintertime Package requires two-night minimum stay and is subject to availability
  • Wintertime Package requires a three-night minimum stay for January 19, 2019 and February 16, 2019.
  • Friday arrivals guaranteed a noon check-in time.
  • Sunday/Monday departures guaranteed a 3:00pm check-out time.
  • Resort credit may not be applied toward the room or in The Casino Club.
  • Wintertime Package does not apply to Windsor Club, Legacy Cottages, Estate Homes or Classic and Historic Suites.
