GREENBRIER VALLEY THEATRE AND CARNEGIE HALL

Make live performance part of your itinerary on your next trip to The Greenbrier. Reserve tickets at Greenbrier Valley Theatre (GVT) and Carnegie Hall to make your visit truly memorable. With locations in the heart of downtown Lewisburg (just nine miles from The Greenbrier), GVT and Carnegie Hall offer state-of-the-art live performances year round.

GVT, West Virginia’s only year-round professional theater, presents theatre, musical concerts, and literary and poetry readings. Carnegie Hall presents multicultural and diverse musical performances. Both venues also offer an array of art exhibits and youth education. These award-winning venues offer excellence in programming in an intimate setting.

GREENBRIER OUTFITTERS

Experience the wild side of West Virginia with Greenbrier Outfitters. Grab your family and paddle a recreational kayak down the Greenbrier River, maneuver a mountain bike through scenic trails, perfect your strategy on our paintball course or relive the majesty of Victorian England by taking part in a beginner’s falconry lesson. Our expert staff will guide you, your family or corporate group through a variety of activities ranging from climbing our 55 foot tall Alpine Tower to a day of teambuilding. With adventures for all skill and fitness levels, let Greenbrier Outfitters create, “Memories That Last.”

GREENBRIER VALLEY AIRPORT

Greenbrier Valley Airport is an air carrier airport 14 miles from The Greenbrier resort. Air service is provided by USAirways Express and Atlantic Southeast Airlines, a Delta Connector. Throughout the year, USAirways Express offers daily flights to Pittsburgh and Charlotte. From April through October, seasonal service includes a daily flight on USAirways Express to LaGuardia and daily jet service on ASA to Atlanta.

Greenbrier Valley Airport operates a full service FBO capable of handling all executive jet aircraft. Facilities include fueling, pilot lounge, a restaurant and catering. Limousines and rental cars are also available at the airport for your convenience.

NORTH AMERICAN RIVER RUNNERS

North American River Runners (NARR) offers whitewater rafting trips for individuals and groups, teambuilding programs and adventure direct from The Greenbrier property. Count on NARR (since 1975) for an experience that is fun, professional and thrilling beyond expectations. This premiere outfitter provides everything you need for the trip including a riverside lunch.

NARR guides along the New River, ranked among the nation’s top ten for whitewater. Any trip to the New River offers a rollercoaster of whitewater fun crashing through an 800-foot scenic gorge.

OAKHURST LINKS

Established 1884 - Restored 1994

A golf experience that is more than just playing a round. In America there is one place where golf is played today as it was 123 years ago, and that place is Oakhurst Links. Located four miles from The Greenbrier, Oakhurst offers golfers a rare opportunity to play America’s first golf course dating back to 1884. Authentic replica hickory clubs, gutta-percha balls and sand tees add to the authenticity of this 19th century experience. The stymie rule and the flock of sheep that roam the course (to keep it “mowed”) allow you to experience the original challenges of the game of golf.

Open May through October, Oakhurst Links offers greens fees that include use of eqiupment, museum tour and refreshments.

TAMARACK

THE BEST OF WEST VIRGINIA

If you are looking for a great shopping experience, Tamarack is the nation’s first statewide collection of handmade craft, art and cuisine. From furniture to glass and pottery to Appalachian quilts, Tamarack features West Virgnia’s best handcrafts, regional specialty foods, live performances, craft demonstrations and theater.

Located just an hour’s drive from The Greenbrier along Interstate 64, Tamarack preserves the Mountain State’s rich heritage by supporting artisans and selling their handcrafts. Welcoming more than 500,000 visitors annually, this artisan center features five resident artisan studios and a 178-seat theater where on any day, West Virginia’s best artisans are at work.

Tamarack also features A Taste of West Virginia food court showcasing regional cuisine under the direction of Executive Chef Jamie Henderson, a graduate of The Greenbrier’s Culinary Apprenticeship Program.

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS MAIN STREET

Make It Home.

Located within walking distance of The Greenbrier, White Sulphur Springs is a small village that boasts a variety of unique shops including fine art, antiques, pottery, custom framing, sporting goods, wine, interior design and apparel, in addition to dining locales with small town charm. White Sulphur Springs is home to several golf courses, a Federal Fish Hatchery, Monongahela National Forrest, as well as streams and lakes that will allow you to enjoy several of your favorite recreational activities.

Throughout the year, the village of White Sulphur Springs also plays host to the Battle of Dry Creek Reenactment, the West Virginia Dandelion Festival, Third Thursdays and several other exciting events that bring this community to life.
