The West Virginia PGA and West Virginia Golf Association Announce the Top Flite Junior Tour’s 25th Anniversary
The 2008 Top Flite Junior Tour is now one month away from start of the 25th Anniversary Season. The Tournament series began in 1984 as the 7-Eleven tournaments from the vision of Tour Founder Larry Martin. 7-Eleven was the title sponsor for the first ten years of the tournament series. The Top Flite Golf Company then assumed sponsorship in 1994 and has been the title sponsor ever since.

The Greenbrier Spa Introduces Sumptuous Summer Treatments
For 230 years, The Greenbrier Spa nestled in the Allegheny Mountains has been one of the resort’s most popular amenities. Known for its natural ingredients and use of indigenous minerals, the resort has launched a new set of refreshing treatments just in time for summer. These sweet treats allow guests to pamper themselves and include a Chocolate Covered Strawberries Body Wrap, a Fruit Smoothie Body Scrub and Wrap and Fruit Smoothie Manicure and Pedicure. All summer treatments last 50 minutes and are available June 1 – September 1, 2008. Each of the Body Wraps cost $160, the Fruit Smoothie Manicure costs $75 and the Pedicure costs $90.

The Greenbrier Enhances Children's Offerings for the Summer
The Greenbrier resort in West Virginia has recently introduced new offerings for children visiting the property this summer. For aspiring golfers, all three of the resort’s championship courses have added Junior Tees, allowing young or beginning golfers the opportunity to play alongside more experienced golfers. Little ones looking to become a chef for a day can participate in The Greenbrier’s Children’s Gourmet Cooking Classes, being offered May – August 2008. Both of these enhance the offerings currently in place for children and teens, which include over 50 recreational activities such as hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, mountain biking, and off-road driving; specialty spa treatments for teens; and the Adventure Zone, which offers full-day and evening programs exclusively for younger guests, combining artistic and intellectual enrichment with physical activities.

The Greenbrier Enhances Golf Facilities for Junior Golfers
The Greenbrier has recently added Junior Tees to all three of its championship golf courses, allowing young or beginning golfers the opportunity to play alongside more experienced golfers. Each of the Junior Tee courses will play at approximately 4,000 yards, which is 1,000 yards shorter than the current forward tees, and special scorecards are also available that show the shorter modified yardage for each course.

Sunday Brunch Returns to The Greenbrier Golf Club
The Greenbrier’s popular Sunday Brunch has returned to Sam Snead’s at the Golf Club for the season. This decadent buffet is available from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. and features a wide variety of culinary delights.

Bunker Tour Schedule Announced
The Greenbrier will offer bunker tours four times a day from April 1 through November 2, 2008. Tours will be offered at 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. and will depart from the North Entrance.

GOLF MAGAZINE, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of its annual readers’ poll, honored ten of golf’s finest properties, including The Greenbrier, with Platinum Medals. This year marks the debut of GOLF’s Platinum Medals, an elite award given to the upper echelon of golf properties that excel in course design and playability while providing luxurious accommodations. The White Sulphur Springs resort also earned first place rankings for the best golf and best accommodations in the Mid-Atlantic region.
