Take a step back into the resort's storied past as you explore the grounds the way travelers did more than a century ago, from the seat of a horse-drawn carriage. Our experienced coachmen guide the magnificent animals through the breathtaking grounds, as they provide facts and stories about The Greenbrier's incredible history and share some of the must-see sights on the 11,000-acre property. Carriage Rides are available from mid-March to late November.
Reservations and Cancellation Policies
Reservations required. Reservations must be cancelled at 24 hours before the time of the activity. Guests will be charged the full cost of the activity if cancellation occurs within 24 hours of the start of the activity.
Pricing
Adults: $79 per person
Children (9-12): $40 per youth (with paying adult)
Children (Under 9): Complimentary (with paying adult)
Private Carriage during regular hours: $458 per carriage (seats 4)
Pricing above includes 6% West Virginia sales tax and 9.75% Historic Preservation Fund. Gratuity is not included.

50-Minute ride departs from Kate's Mountain Adventures located at the North Entrance.
