Since our Gun Club's inception in 1913, skeet and trap have been popular pastimes at America's Resort. Located atop Kate's Mountain, the Gun Club's current offerings include three combination trap and skeet fields and a 10-station sporting clays course. The sporting clays course was designed by Justin Jones and John Higgins of the British School of Shooting, and challenges shooters of all skill levels on a course that showcases the unique topography of the area. Each group of up to five shooters is provided with a Professional Trap Attendant to ensure that each shooter has a safe and enjoyable experience while shooting Trap, Skeet or Sporting Clays at the Gun Club. From beginners to professionals, all will relish a trip to The Gun Club, which has been a part of the resort's offerings almost from the start.
Brand new to The Greenbrier is our newly constructed 5-Stand opening October 22
nd, 2022. 5-Stand shooting is a sport that merges trap and skeet shooting together. This sport features a line of five “stands” placed side-by-side and a few feet apart for the shooter, along with launches. These launches are situated on the shooter’s front, back, overhead, and sides. The shooter is then provided with five targets at each station, making it a total of 25 targets to shoot at different distances and angles. What makes The Greenbrier 5-Stand really stand out is that it is completely covered, and climate controlled for all 4 seasons. It also is equipped with lighting that will provide opportunities to do Nighttime Shooting events.
Reservations and Cancellation Policies
Reservations required. Reservations must be cancelled at least 24 hours before the time of the activity. Guests will be charged the full cost of the activity if cancellation occurs within 24 hours of the start of the activity.

SHOOTING LESSONS
The British School of Shooting has certified 3 of our instructors. We offer shooting instruction for both the advanced enthusiast and the novice or first time shooter.
Introduction to Sporting Clays: 25 Target Rounds

Guidelines
Minimum age for target rounds is 16 years; a Liability Release Waiver must be signed by parent or guardian who must verify & attest to the youth-shooter. All shooters age 18 and above must sign a Liability Release Waiver before using The Greenbrier's Gun Club facilities.
Lessons may be provided to youth 13-15 years old, with both a Liability Release Waiver signed by accompanying parent or guardian and verification of the age of the youth-shooter. Youth shooters ages 13-15 may not use The Greenbrier's Gun Club facilities after the lesson.
