What are your favorite memories from your Wedding at The Greenbrier?
Watching the spectacular sunset from Kate’s Mountain with all of our friends and family at the rehearsal dinner, and when the father and brothers of the bride took the stage with Edsel West at our reception to treat the crowd to Michael Jackson’s Beat It!
How did you hear about The Greenbrier?
Cory grew up in West Virginia, and a trip to visit his hometown - and The Greenbrier - was one of our first as a couple. After many memorable vacations at the resort, including a Thanksgiving weekend where our parents met for the first time, we knew it was the perfect place to host our wedding.
What was the inspiration for your décor/theme of your wedding?
We wanted to celebrate all that we love about West Virginia and the South, from barbeque and bluegrass to wildflowers and country lace.
After the wedding was over, what was your favorite detail from the wedding events?
Our rose-petal strewn exit from our reception at Howard’s Creek, complete with a vintage getaway car.
How would you describe your wedding planning experience at The Greenbrier?
Seamless and special, from start to finish. All of our guests, who traveled from far and wide to be with us on our wedding weekend, were so well taken care of by the hotel staff and raved about their experience at the Greenbrier. That, for us, was the icing on the cake.
